Very good questions Debbie. Unfortunately nobody has a solid answer for that. Otherwise we would all be on fire haha. Some of us are experimenting to find what that answer is. A few friends and I started "Volume" www.volumeonline.org which aims to liven up worship and set an example for what lively worship can be. We basically went out to many of the large, successful non-denominational churches in the area to find out how they do it. Its amazing to us to see so many young adults swarming these churches, and it amazes me even more that we don't just follow in their footsteps instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. So many of us have settled into the old ways of doing church services, that its very difficult to get the point across to people. So my advice for you is to keep pressing on, and try to make your voice heard among your peers in the church. It will take some time for change to take place.
